JavaScript-heavy sites can rank well when rendering, performance, and internal linking are disciplined. Search engines evaluate what they can crawl efficiently and what users experience on first load.
Use this checklist before every major release—not only at launch.
Crawlability and indexation
Serve meaningful HTML for key URLs server-side or via static generation. Verify rendered DOM in Search Console URL Inspection, not only your local dev preview.
Maintain clean sitemaps, canonical tags, and robots rules. Block staging environments at the network layer, not only via noindex tags.
Structured data
Implement Organization, WebSite, and page-appropriate schema (Article, Service, FAQ) with JSON-LD. Validate in Rich Results Test and monitor enhancement reports weekly.
Avoid marking up content that is not visible to users—schema must reflect on-page copy.
Core Web Vitals
LCP is usually hero imagery, fonts, or blocking scripts. INP reflects main-thread work from analytics and animation libraries. CLS often comes from late-loading fonts and embeds.
Budget third-party scripts aggressively. Defer non-critical UI enhancements until after idle.
